I've finally recovered from my turkey coma, so it's time for a status update:

It's been a fairly quiet 2 week period, probably related to the holiday. There are now 1243 Supported Games, an increase of 40. The Work in Progress category, meanwhile, is down to 479, a decrease of 11. Put together, that means 51 games have been finished off in the past 2 weeks. Probably bigger than the number of games there are is the work that's been done on emoticons, which is pretty sweet, IMO. There's a lot of categories I never would have thought of, myself.

Probably the next project will be creating a similar categorization of profile backgrounds. I think that will be more difficult, though: while emoticons tend to be fairly simple images, most backgrounds seem more difficult to categorize. Probably 70% of them are just pictures of the game's characters - I'm not really sure if those are worth trying to categorize at all, since only people who really like that game specifically will have any interest in it.

Another thing to remember is that odds are another special set of Steam cards will probably be coming fairly soon. Last year, the Snow Globe cards started dropping on December 10th. Valve may decide to do something different this year, though - who knows.
